Der Struwwelpeter is an 1845 German children's book written and illustrated by Heinrich Hoffmann. It comprises of ten stories that serve as a cautionary tale. These stories that demonstrate the disastrous consequences of misbehaving.
This illustrated triptych is a reinterpretation of the stories. The illustrations are inspired by medieval art and the restrained chaos pictured in that movement’s style.
